Freedom Days event deemed a success

Saturday’s Monroe Freedom Days tractor pull was a huge event this year, bringing in not only hundreds of spectators, but bringing over 140 “hooks” to the seven hour pull. Tractors came from as close as just down the street to as far away as Missouri to take in the day’s event.

For the volunteer fire department, this is one of their biggest fundraisers of the year.  The pull, combined with inspirational and patriotic music and fireworks to end the evening, saw success and has the department already thinking about next year’s event.
