Adeline Wildeboer, 94, of Chancellor, SD, died Friday, December 3, 2021, at the Pioneer Memorial Nursing Home, Viborg, SD.
Adeline Sena Plucker was born on July 20, 1927, near Tea, SD, the daughter of Martin and Ranstina “Tina” (Rippentrop) Plucker. She grew up near Chancellor, attending Germantown Rural School #88. She had worked at Sioux Valley Hospital, in Sioux Falls, for several years prior to her marriage.
On February 19, 1949, she was united in marriage to Martin Wildeboer. The couple made their home on a farm near Parker, SD for 45 years, before moving into Lennox in 1997. Husband, Martin died February 2, 2003. Adeline continued to live in Lennox for several years before moving to Chancellor.
Adeline was a member of the Calvary Assembly of God Church in Sioux Falls. She was affiliated with the Chancellor Reformed Church, where she attended Bible study. She also belonged to the Christian Women’s organization. Adeline was an accomplished cook. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting and babysitting her grandchildren. Most of all, Adeline deeply loved her family.
Besides her parents and husband, Adeline was preceded in death by one daughter, Sharon Leguit and siblings: Wessel Plucker and Edna Mechels.
Grateful for having shared her life are her children: Dennis Wildeboer, Chancellor, Denise (Dennis) Smith, Parker and Sheryl (Dean) Schoenwald, Marion; nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Corky Fritz, Hartford and Betty (John) Engberg, Sioux Falls as well as other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 8 at the Chancellor Reformed Church.
