On Wednesday, Nov. 20 three Parker High School seniors were recognized as Parker’s Character on Track/Champions on Track winners.

Rich Jensen from the Sioux Falls Character on Track group visited with Parker Elementary students about leadership along with senior Paityn DeBoer, Tanner Even and Grace Reiffenberger. These seniors were selected to serve as ambassadors for the Character on Track program for Parker to help promote character education based on the Five Marks of Character.

“I felt really proud to be honored and selected by my peers. You don’t have to be a leader figure as there are little things you can do in the community to make a big difference to be thought of as a leader,” noted Even.

Principal Bill Leberman said the senior students were selected on votes from the Parker School staff members. He noted he believes this is a great program that goes hand in hand with Parker’s Core 4 values.
