Wrestlers take home fifth at Tri-Valley

Parker placed four wrestlers in the top four last weekend to take home fifth at the Tri-Valley Invite. Andrew Even kicked things off the Pheasants and had a breakout day, qualifying for the championship match at 126 for the first time this season. Charlie Patten and Geoff Dunkelberger were also third at 195 and 285 respectively while Levi Wieman was fourth at 220. 

Next up Parker will be in Winner this weekend. 

“We travel to Winner on Friday to wrestle in a quad against Winner, Kimball-White Lake-Platte-Geddes and Philip Area. Saturday we are in Winner for the Warrior Invitational. Follow us on Twitter for updates @ParkerSDWrestle,” said coach John Silvernail.

Parker edges Parkston for perfect evening

After blowing through Flandreau and West Sioux, Iowa, the Parker wrestling team faced off against perennial power Parkston last Tuesday night at the Parkston duals and edged the hosts 39-36 for a decisive victory. The undefeated night helped the Pheasants move to 12-6 on the season as they headed to Tri-Valley on Saturday where they will meet some of the states finest competition.
