He was born Feb. 26, 1946 to Daniel W. and Ethel A. Andersen of Viborg. His family moved to Parker area in 1951. He attended Parker School and graduated from Parker High School in 1964. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served his country for six years during the Vietnam ear. He moved to the Corpus Christi area in 1975.

Graveside services with Military Honors were held Thursday, Dec. 5, 2019 at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery, Corpus Christi, Texas. 

He is survived by his wife, Clara Andersen, two sisters, Carolyn (Leonard) Spomer of Pierre and Merianna (Ralph) Berens of Parker along with one niece and four nephews.
