Former Parker standout Mike Begeman was inducted into the South Dakota Basketball Hall of Fame last weekend in Sioux Falls. Begeman, who graduated in 1975 is the schools second highest scorer, posting 1471 points in his high school career. Begeman also holds the school record with 44 points in a single game.
During his final three season’s the Pheasants posted a 70-10 record and finished runner-up at the state tournament two years in a row.
Begeman then went on to play at Augustana, becoming a valuable four year letterman. He then went on to coach at OGorman High School, leading the Knights to 217 wins.
Begeman is now Vice President of Public Affairs at Sanford Health in SIoux Falls.
