The Parker 14U baseball team wrapped up their season last week, playing in region 5 in the annual VFW state playoffs. The Pheasants had posted a successful regular season, going 9-7 in the I-29 league, but struggled offensively in the region games, falling to Salem in their opener 11-1. Parker then played Centerville in their second game, needing a win to stay alive, but the Tornados were too much down the stretch, taking the win 8-2.

“They were a young team with lots to learn,” commented head coach Trent Kuchta. “We had fun and had a great season. Regions just didn’t work out like we had wanted. I’d like to also thank S&S Ag for their sponsorship.”
