The Parker wrestling team made the long trek to Miller last Saturday for the annual Miller tournament. The Pheasants faced some of the finest competition in the state and came home with a fifth place finish.
Parker had five wrestlers finish in the top five being led by Charlie Patten who took second, coming up just short against a returning state finalist. Geoff Dunkelberger also took home third in the final match of the day, securing the fifth place finish for the Pheasants. Andrew Even was also fourth at 126, Jack Even fourth at 152 and Levi Wieman fourth at 220.
“We wrestled tough against some of the best in the state,” said coach John Silvernail. “We are proud of the effort Saturday, and will continue to get better one week at a time.”
Next up Parker traveled to Parkston on Tuesday.
