The Parker volleyball squad kept their winning ways alive on Monday night, traveling to Vermillion to face a new foe in the Tanangers. Parker hadn’t seen Vermillion in several years, but wasted little time on the host team, taking the win in straight sets 25-16, 25-20 and 25-21.
Parker burst out in the first set as kills from Brooke Berens, Katie Bialas and Halle Berens hit the floor. The rally continued as the Pheasants flirted with a 10 point lead and went on to get the win 25-16.
The second and third set were closer, but the Pheasants were still in control. In the second set the Pheasants nabbed a lead early and a late Tananger rally fell short with Parker getting the win 25-20.
The third set was once again close, but the Pheasants prevailed in the back and forth match, taking the win 25-21 and the match 3-0.
Leading Parker on offense was Brooke Berens with seven kills while Halle Berens had six and Katie Bialas six. Bialas also had two blocks and four aces. On defense, Lexi Even had 28 digs while Brooke Berens had 16. Terryn Fuller also dished out 28 assists.
Parker, now 16-12, rounded out their season against West Central.
