As spring begins, so do the soccer, baseball, softball and T-Ball teams.
A record breaking amount of children are registered for spring and summer sports this year, with 102 kids signed up for soccer alone. Preschoolers through seventh graders were invited to sign up for soccer this year. Children ages from seven through 16 are eligible to play baseball and softball. Ages four to six are eligible to play co-ed T-Ball this year.
There will be one T-Ball team, three softball teams, and four baseball teams.
The soccer director is Trevor Christiansen, the baseball director is Shane Merrill, the softball director is Emily Bialas and the T-Ball director is Tami Berens.
Soccer began in the first week of April, and baseball and softball in the middle of April. T-Ball is likely to start in the middle of May. Exact dates for some may not have been figured out yet, however, baseball has priority on Mondays and Wednesdays and softball has priority on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
“We’re looking forward to a good year,” said Merrill.
