Longtime volleyball rival Alcester-Hudson traveled to Parker last Thursday night to face off against the Pheasants. Parker used their strong attack in the first two sets to quickly march to victory, and even after slipping up in the third game, rebounded for a set four win.
It was all Parker in the first two sets as Brooke Berens put on a brilliant show hammering kill after kill to the floor. Katie Bialas and Halle Berens also got in on the scoring fun as Parker ran away with wins 25-11 and 25-15.
The Cubs built a quick lead in the third set, behind aggressive serving. Parker trailed by as many as eight but clawed their way back within 24-23. Parker could not tie the set, as two close calls late in the match went against the Pheasants, with the Cubs winning 25-23.
Parker rebounded in the fourth set, pushing past the visitors on their way to a 25-16 win.
Leading the Pheasants in the match was Halle Berens with 16 kills while Brooke Berens had 14 and Bialas 16. Bialas also led in blocks once again with four.
Desiree Pierce led the defense with 26 digs while Brooke Berens had 21 and Lexi Even 11. Even also dished out 31 assists while Terryn Fuller had 18.
Up next Parker traveled to Tyndall for the annual Cavalier Clash.
